Hey Everyone,
My name is Emma and I am one of the new co-owners of Oak & Hyde. What a journey it has been so far! Excited is an understatement.
I have worked with shoes for all of my adult life, since I was 16 years old, but never did I think I would co-own my own brand. I feel incredibly lucky to have this opportunity and myself, along with the other Directors, and our fabulous O&H team, truly believe Oak & Hyde is something special. Here at Oak & Hyde, we love what we do, we love footwear, and we love nature, this is what inspires our ideas for new products and designs. Practical leather boots and handcrafted sandals that are not only stylish but also practical with an emphasis on quality leathers and comfort.
Following the launch of our brand new website and the stock of our new summer range arriving, it has been exciting to engage with our loyal customers again, and bring to life our vision for a brand that embodies quality, comfort and lifestyle.
This week we have been finalising the Oak & Hyde Autumn Winter range and we cannot wait for this to arrive with us later in the year. It's been very exciting meeting with the lovely team at the factory in Portugal who work hard to bring our designs to life.
So what can you expect from the Oak & Hyde boot range this winter?
Well, we do of course have our classic signature collection which includes the Crest, Crest Demi and our beloved Bridge Chelsea boots. All our classics, as always, are made with stunning leathers. For this season we have improved the boots with brand new cushioned insoles giving you that oh so important extra comfort underfoot, and we have been working with our factory to ensure our quality is spot on.
What's brand new to our Oak & Hyde winter boot collection?
We have some exciting new styles in the range this coming season with a new chunky chelsea boot and a brand new, Barefoot chelsea boot. Yep, you heard it right, at Oak & Hyde we love nature and what could be closer to nature, than a barefoot premium leather boot that allows you to feel as if you are walking around with bare feet? I will save the rest of the information about these for a later post. Stay tuned!
Where can I buy boots for wider calfs?
We have added a wide calf version of our stunning crest boot. I personally have always struggled to find tall leather boots as I have ''athletic calfs' from my younger years doing gymnastics. I can honestly count on one hand the number of tall boots I have managed to wear that actually fit my calfs, and I know I am not alone in this. So when we created a sample of our classic crest boot with a wider calf, I was absolutely overjoyed when I managed to get this boot on, and fasten it around my calf with ease, I just know this boot will be a favourite for this coming winter.
Can I buy half sizes in Oak & Hyde?
We will be aiming to introduce half sizes in our Crest and Crest Demi lines from this winter as we know this will benefit many customers. You will be able to get that perfect fit. We are working with our factory in Portugal to introduce halfs sizes across the full winter range in the coming seasons.
What new boot are we most excited about for winter 2024?
Yeeehaaaa - We are super excited to announce that we have a classic western leather boot range coming in, keep your eyes peeled for these, they are simply stunning.
